Apparently I have a job
And I start Monday. I shall elaborate on Sunday when all our entertaining (it's been a marathon) is complete and Mike is on the plane to Singapore.
In a nutshell I'm going from executive recruiter to general software company testing, help desk, and documentation dogs-body, and its all good. Details like pay and hours have yet to be worked out, and I was slightly alarmed when the COO seemed to indicate that there could be 40 hour weeks involved, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
More later....

Congrats!
Nancy
Because you asked...per Wikipedia - that paragon of fact checked information:
The Royal Navy used dried peas boiled in a bag as one of their staple foods circa the early 1800s. Sailors nicknamed this vile substance "dog's body".
In the early 20th century, junior officers and midshipmen who performed jobs more senior officers did not want to do began to be called "dogsbodys".[citation needed] The term became more common in non-naval usage ca. 1930, coming to refer to people who were stuck with rough work.
